Associate of Theological Studies (ATS)

Prerequisite for applying to the ATS course of study:

A high school diploma or GED is required for admission to this course of study.

Please note:  If you are applying to this course of study you MUST have a local mentor.  

  1. All students applying to this undergraduate program MUST have a local mentor.  It is up to the student to find his own local mentor.  TNARS will then, upon proper application submittal, approve that mentor.
  2. Local mentors must possess an appropriate graduate degree in a theological discipline from an approved seminary.
  3. Local mentors, along with completing the standard mentor questionnairemust also submit a multi-page example of his writing abilities.  This may come from his past seminary work, ministerial papers, other publications, his thesis or dissertation.
  4. Local mentors must subscribe to the Westminster Confession of Faith and inform the TNARS administration at the time of application of any exceptions he may take to these standards.
